Research shows women will be easily affected disease dementia

Disease - Recent studies have shown a disproportionate impact on women all over the world will be disease dementia. The institution of Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) predicts, 135 million people will be exposed to the disease by 2050, where 71 percent of them, live in low and medium income countries, and most are women.

Article Women and Dementia: A Global Research Review, is a summary of the various international research from various parts of the world, which highlights the needs of empirical-based health programs. This is mainly for women in low-income countries and medium.

In line with the research, ADI urged all countries understand and address the disproportionate impact of dementia in women, and give the appropriate information, to make them feel cared for and treated.

"This report shows the increasing needs of Governments around the world, to acknowledge that the challenges facing women who are affected by dementia, is part of a wider scope of women's issues that must be addressed. Especially in middle-and low-income countries, said Marc Wortmann, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Disease International.
